Kids in the courtyard
Head to the Courtyard to see a host of activities for the whole family to get involved in. There will be the Soft Play, inflatable fun, bumper cars, face painter and much more. You might not want to leave, as you will have a range of shops, cafe and toilets within arms reach!
Gun Dog Scurry
It’s not just the horses who can get in on the action – you can come and take part in the Volucris Gun Dog Scurry. This will be taking place all weekend in the centre of the showground.
Volucris Gun Dog Events is run by Mark Craddock, who has over 30 years experience in training, coaching and teaching. Whether your dog spends its winter in the shooting field or curled up by the fire, they will be able to enjoy this great scurry and get a good run!
Shopping
A wide selection of local and national brands will be joining us at Thoresby this year, visitors of the event are welcome throughout the weekend to browse their favourite brands and pick up a souvenir. with everything on offer from homeware to fashion to furniture.

Easter Egg Hunt
Our Easter Egg Hunt is back for 2026! Grab your Easter Egg Hunt ticket and ensure your little people go home with a delicious chocolatey treat. The hunt will take you around the showground and you will need to look out for our Easter Friends.
The Easter Egg Hunt will only be available on Sunday 5th April, and make sure you get your FAMILY BUNDLE to save!
Picnic Parking
Back by popular demand – grab yourself a Prime Picnic Parking Spot! Picnic Parking, will be positioned on the edge of the cross country course, with prime views of our equine athletes showing their skills.
Book now to enjoy the best seats in the house, along with a 3m x 3m marquee and you can even order your Picnic so you don’t have to worry about bringing it with you!
Vintage Tractors
We are excited to have the Notts National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club and the White Rose Vintage Machinery Club joining us on Sunday 5th April, with their stunning array of vintage machinery and tractors. They will be parading their Tractors over lunchtime on Sunday so you can see them all in action. Don’t forget to go and have a sit on these wonderful machines!
Shire Horses
The Shire Horse Society will be bring 4 of their stunning Shire Horses across the three days. They will be showing off a range of their equipment, and showing how they harness, plait up and prepare these wonderful animals!
You will be able to get up close and personal with these gentle giants and find out lots more about them
Hobby Horses
We are excited to be welcoming the world of Hobby Horsing to Thoresby over the weekend. Hobby Horse Adventures will be hosting a competition which runs on both days.
We have exicting news about what classes and competitions they will be running, keep your eyes peeled for more information very soon!
Dog Show
We will have a dog show running all weekend, it will be running a variety of different classes, which include Most Gorgeous Girl, Most Dapper Dog, Best Child Handler, Waggiest Tail and much more.

Thoresby attracts some of the World’s best eventing combinations, which will include World, European and Olympic Champions.
With many combinations headed to the spring 5* events, such as Badminton, Thoresby is the perfect opportunity to see these amazing athletes in action, up and close. With Cross Country on all days, no matter when you join us you will be entertained with a great show of speed, precision and elegance!

We are delighted to be growing our partnership with British Polo Gin, which has led to the creation of Eventing Gin – perfectly curated to partner a day out in the country.
Open for business all weekend in luscious gardens with views across the arena, it’s the perfect place to unwind. This year we are delighted to be supported by Hawkstone Brewery. Hawkstone Brewery shot to fame on Clarkson’s Farm, and British Polo Gin will be serving their delicious array of drinks across the weekend.
MINI MAJOR PONY CLUB SHOW JUMPING SHOWCASE
Alongside the world class eventing competition, on Saturday afternoon, the main arena will play host to the next generation of equestrian talents, when Pairs from the local pony clubs will battle it out to show off their jumping and entertain the crowd!
